La Finca Lodge in San Fernando, Mexico
Less than two hours by van from the Texas border, but a world away. This convenient, comfortable getaway is perfectly situated near the largest white-winged dove nesting area in the world and in the middle of thousands of acres of sorghum, corn and sunflower fields. Known as the breadbasket of Mexico, this area in the state of Tamaulipas, is ideal habitat for white-winged and mourning dove, and for huge coveys of wild bobwhite quail — minutes from the lodge.
A few miles away, along the Mexican gulf coast, waterfowling is spectacular! The large North American flyways converge here in this coastal region which contains large freshwater “pans” as well as shallow saltwater bays. The variety of waterfowl is phenomenal. Imagine a combination shoot of quail or duck in the morning, and dove or quail in the afternoon!
It’s time to call Wide Open Outfitters.
